30:25 Classical Reformer Sculpt + Vitality Jump board Sweat

Focus : 

30 minutes of classical reformer exercises to tone, lean and sculpt the body head to toe. We’ll wiz through as quickly and efficiently as we can. Next 25 minutes of Reformer jump board to get your cardio and sweat going! This is total body fitness today, you’ll work your body head to toe, and specifically we will have a lot of unilateral movements which help to balance out imbalances in the body. Obliques, shoulders, arms, core, lots of side lying exercises for hips and booty, just to give you a quick sweeping idea of what’s up in this video!

Today is, again, considerably longer than the majority of our entire workouts in this program so EXCEPTION TODAY: you can break your sculpt and sweat up if you don’t have time to do both! By popular demand this video has been made combining longer sessions of both strength and cardio, done-in-one!

This is day 1, week 8 already, of our Summer Fit Program!

Remember if you do not have a Reformer, or any of the other equipment used today, please choose one of the prior sessions in the program you enjoyed and repeat that one so as not to miss 3 days of workouts per week.

Equipment Needed : 

For Part 1: Reformer and box. You can skip the few exercises we use the box for if you don’t have one and join us for the rest. Part 2: Reformer and jumpboard.

The Course of this Class :

If you love the classical work from Joe Pilates’ original exercises, and Pilates for what it is known for, then today is your day! Focus on your breath, control, centering, precision, form and alignment as you move through each exercise. If you have not yet followed our Classical program then you’ll definitely want to check that out next. Today we depart from the original sequencing a bit to favor a certain flow and cover certain muscle groups. This work is powerful to cinching in to that midline, trimming and toning head to toe. Next, throw your jump board on and get ready for a nearly entire 25 minute session of unilateral work. Yes, that means single leg. We’ll balance everything out at the end but this class gives great opportunity to improving muscular imbalances as well as improving posture. Class pace is moderate keeping flow throughout with an effort to reduce transition times for optimal time spent working out!

Class Level : 

Intermediate level taught with a few more advanced exercises. Pace yourself, modify when needed. ALL levels are encouraged to take class today, you can always sit one exercise out if you aren’t ready to try it or haven’t done it before.

Goals : 

Improve Pilates practice, deepen level of movement and mind-body connection. Increase your control and precision while working your breath fully throughout each and every exercise. Tone, reshape, sculpt and trim head to toe. Balance imbalances. Improve posture. Challenge proprioception and balance. Increase cardio stamina and endurance. Boost metabolism and heart rate, thereby improving energy levels and mood! Feel confident and fit in your own skin! Stay fit during summer and busy schedules.
