Abs on Fire, Oldies but Goodies, Day 23

Level: All Levels, Intermediate
Focus :   

Abs on fire is our focus, we are returning to some classics but testing our stamina and just how long we can continue that burn. So get ready to pull that abdominal back and in and up, breath into that rib cage, squeeze that ball and work away using your levers and the springs to challenge that core.

Our 2nd to last day of our 8 week Core Strength program, you are almost there! Focus on your form today, your breath, and your precision. Make sure you are moving from center out, and if ever you begin to fatigue, take a break and then continue. Never sacrifice form for function.

Equipment Needed :     

The Reformer, the sitting box, and a small soft ball (if you don’t have one, grab a folded up towel).

➡️ Remember our rule! IF you do not have the Reformer, simply repeat a prior workout in our program so you remain consistent.👍🏼

Class Level :     

Intermediate, but at this point of our program, ALL levels should be following this workout. Where modifications may be needed, it will mostly be in taking pauses and resuming, suggestions are made. Pace yourself and always listen to your body.

The Course of this Class :   

We start with our supine arm work, using our levers to challenge our core isometrically. Next, you’ll pick it up to your quadruped position for reverse kneeling abdominals. A subtle yet extremely effective classical series for drawing those abs flat, up and in. Finally we’ll finish with our other infamous reverse abdominals with legs in the straps and really squeeze out those abs, lighting those abs on fire. The small ball will be key throughout our workout today to fire that midline.
