Reformer and Reformer box.
This beginner Pilates Reformer workout gains a little bit of flow from our part 1 session. We still focus on the ABC’s and foundations of Pilates. Breath, alignment, and the classical exercises on the Reformer. Focus is on form and how to engage what muscles and from where as you move through each exercise. We’ll talk about set up of the machine as well. We want you to: feel comfortable; be confident; know more about this method; these exercises, the machine; and build a solid foundation for the rest of your practice! A great class for ALL who are brand new to Pilates, brand new to the Reformer, or for those who want to come back to the basics and rework their foundation.
We start again with our basics: footwork, hands in straps and feet in straps. We’ll be moving into a half hundred today, and also learn our Short Spine. You will be learning Rowing back in the 2 classical variations, as well as Rowing facing forward. We’ll equally discover our Long Stretch series, and Reverse abdominals on the long box, as well as the Swan. This beginner Pilates Reformer workout is full body. Remember these beginner Pilates classes will be quite methodical in their pace as we are all about setting up and explaining so that you will be the most knowledgable possible to be empowered in your own body and movement.
