Classical Pilates Reformer, meaning, today is all about moving through the original classical exercises as Joseph Pilates conceived them. Getting into the work itself without thinking about all the fun and crazy add-on renditions and creative variations. This is a tribute to the power of the work itself, the beauty of the movement, refining our practice and deepening our strength in each of these moves.
Intermediate – Advanced. Modifications given.
If you know the classical work, and even if you don’t, today’s class will be a chance to move through it again or for a first time. The actual sequencing is not perfectly classical as I prefer a certain order for what I feel makes for more fluidity. We won’t be focusing on high reps, rather low reps to favor getting in more exercises. This is a long class but can EASILY BE BROKEN INTO 2 CLASSES so don’t feel like if you don’t have all this time in one go you can’t do it at all. Have fun today!
