Classical Pilates reformer workout short on time, picking it up right from the Short Box series. We hit: abs and core, upper body and a little bit of glutes! Flowing through the original exercises as Joseph Pilates created them. Because it feels good, and is simply so effective and intelligent. You can come to this workout already warm or not warm at all. It’s a fun classical flow (though not at all classical in that we are jumping in at the middle of a flow 😁 ).
Reformer and the long box. (I’ll use a wooden dowel in the beginning. If you have one, grab it, if you don’t, no worries, go without or grab a Pilates ring.)
Intermediate on up. There are only a few more “advanced” exercises, so even if your practice is not yet intermediate, I would encourage you to try this class.
We jump in right at the middle of a classical flow which is about at the Short box series. From there, we’ll move to long box Pulling straps, teaser and horseback. Then, we’ll flow through the Long stretch series, Elephant and more. Class moves quickly and feels full body when finished. If you don’t often run through the classical exercises, today is a great class to hone your practice and form in each individual exercise.
Get a satisfying, full body classical pilates reformer workout in a short amount of time. Build power, grace and efficiency in all your movements while improving flow through transitions. Deepen your practice, refine your work, focus on your breath and muscular engagement through the exercises rather than the movement or coordination itself.
