Today’s core planks on the fit ball will put to test how much stronger we are now. Planks are a challenging and great way to increase our entire abdominal strength all the way around the spine. We will tighten, tone and lift those abs up and in meanwhile strengthening our shoulder girdle and arm strength too.
You made it to Day 15, it’s the end of week 5 of our Core Strength Program! Great job! See how you are feeling today throughout our class and watch your form in all your planks, knee pulls and pikes!
ALL levels. Suggestions will be given today for modifications if the planks are too much, wrists need a break, things like that. 👍🏼
The Course of this Class :
We start by rolling in and out of forearm core planks on the ball, using the instability to challenge our every supporting muscle. Continuing with planks we’ll move from difficult to more challenging with feet up on the ball to knee pulls and planks. Get ready for a fun and challenging oblique exercise, along with a great posterior chain exercise while depending on the core to stabilize. We’ll finish with classic crunches on top the ball to rest our wrists and continue toning the abs.
Remember if you need to increase the challenge, add more reps and increase your pace within each exercise today.
See you next week for week 6! If you want to repeat this workout, by all means go for it! 💪
