Today’s stretch session for flexibility for legs, hips and glutes focuses specifically on some of those areas which are often stiff or sore or tight: hamstrings, hip flexors, and piriformis. You made it! This is the 30th day of our strength training program, your last stretch session, bravo! Today is all about lengthening and getting blood flow into those tissues after your last week of work behind you.
You’ll leave class more recovered in your muscles, relaxed, and rested.

The Course of this Class :
We will start with a spinal articulation before lying down to focus on our hamstrings, one side at a time, feet in straps. After moving slowly and intentionally with the breath through those stretches, stand it up for our Eve’s lunge. Moving into stretching the hip flexors, quad and whole back of the leg in a different fashion than the foot in the strap. A simple and classic piriformis stretch next leads us into a final chest opener. There are not a ton of positions today or stretches we are only focusing on a few while targeting areas that often need work. Focus on your breath with intention in your ebb and flow movement through your active stretches to ease your body into more length and increase blood flow to the tissues.
