Day 18: Foam Roller Massage, Full Body Stretch & Recovery

Focus :   

Full body foam roller massage, rolling out our fascia, muscles, and tissues to release sore muscles, tightness, increase blood flow and encourage long lean lines. Today is for everyone because the benefits of rolling are too good to miss for those on the Reformer for our 30 day program. Our 6th day is both a stretch and recovery day, an important part of our strength training program for fat loss and lean muscle gain. Today will help our recovery time be quicker so we are not only ready for Monday, our last week, but also ensure that our muscles don’t remain in a shortened position.

Equipment Needed :     

Your mat and foam roller.

The Course of this Class :   

Enjoy the view today as we roll out on the foam roller. You may roll out regularly or you may not, in any case, join me today and we’ll do it together. Sometimes it’s nice to follow along to stay on course. We’ll hit hamstrings, calves, piriformis, TFL, mid back, upper back, quads, inner thighs and sides. As per our usual, pace is slow, mindful and goes with our breath. We move in an ebb and flow and we’ll sit into certain areas that are more sore or stiff in order to get the release before moving on. This should be a really enjoyable, relaxing class. Release tensions and breathe through it all.

Please drink LOTS of water after our foam roller massage today to aid in flushing out toxins and all you have released today.
