Revitalizing Roll-er-Up

Instructor: Kristine Chaussard
Level: Intermediate

*Equipment Needed :     Foam Roller and Mat.

Focus :     An invigorating, total body flow using the foam roller so that we can find an even deeper core connection; challenge core stability; and help lengthen that spine longer and taller.

Class Level :     Intermediate on up.

The Course of this Class :     We’ll start by establishing a connection to our back body, hamstrings and glutes. From there, we’ll isolate our abdominals in all different positions on the roller, meanwhile keeping the posterior chain engagement. In addition to working abdominal strength we’ll be working back strength. A stronger back means better posture, better breath and longevity. The roller helps us find length and lift in the spine. Most importantly, it’s a fantastic tactile prop, discover new ways to use the roller in your mat class and practice. This is a full body stretch and workout.

Goals :     Create a deeper mind body awareness and connectivity. More abdominal strength, more upper back strength, and more spine health, mobility, flexibility and length.
