Hamstrings, Calves + Spinal Mobility for a Longer, Leaner Silhouette

Level: Advanced, All Levels, Beginner, Intermediate

Focus :   

Today we will focus on lengthening hamstrings and calves; stretching hips; thoracic rotation, spinal flexion and extension; and finally shoulder mobility work.

Join me for some active stretching to create more flexibility, stretch out sore and tight muscles and work longer leaner lines into those muscles.

Equipment Needed :     

Reformer and the Reformer box. Optional: a wooden dowel.

Class Level :     

ALL levels. For everyone!

The Course of this Class :   

Class is slow and mindful. Focus on breathing in and through each stretch. Tune into what your body is saying and how it is feeling in each stretch, what muscles need more stretch than others. Keep movement going easing in and out of each end range within the stretch.

Goals :     

Increase flexibility, stretch out sore and tight muscles, create longer and more elastic tissues. Mobilize the spine in every way encouraging breath, flow, elasticity, agility and range of motion. Improve breathing. Rest and recovery. Increase blood flow and circulation to tissues.
