The Course of this Class :

The Elephant is a fun exercise which provides a fabulous lengthening to the backs of the legs, hamstrings and calves. It can be a bit tricky to find oneself in the right position without a mirror or a spotter, so we will be working through both round and flat back to make sure that we are properly positioning ourselves first off. We will talk about the purpose of these two variations and what it teaches us in our body, as well as learning to find the right breath and muscular engagement. I rarely see anyone in the proper body position for round back elephant, so definitely try this tutorial to check your own form and make sure you are practicing it in the best possible way to get the benefits meant!

Pilates depends on certain technical foundations, understanding these better will set you up for success in your practice; protect you from injuring yourself; as well as teach you the best alignment your body can achieve! Plus, practicing with the right form, you’ll get A TON more out of the exercise, your level will increase quickly if you stick to it, and so will your results!
