The front splits is a challenging exercise for most all of us who are adults and haven’t done anything close to a split in many years! 😁 Additionally, balancing with the front foot on such a tiny surface ups the anty! In this tutorial we strive to give you tips and tricks to know how to balance better, and feel secure up there. We move through the three different variations of this classical exercise and talk about proper body positioning and muscle engagement through each one. Don’t shy away from trying this exercise, it is incredibly dynamic to stretching everything from waist down in a way we don’t otherwise tap into. Releasing tensions are just as important as building muscle, so try this one, keep your feet down on your platform until you are ready to move up to the footbar, and you’ll quickly learn the benefits in this, we promise!
