Lean Legs, Lower Body Toning Chair

Level: Intermediate

*Equipment Needed :      Pilates Chair and a Mat.

Focus :    Lean legs, lower body toning, refining, balancing workout today. Lighter weight but focus on alignment, balance and inner toning, tightening and strengthening.

Class Level :     Intermediate on up.

The Course of this Class :     We start with classical footwork seated on the chair and from there move into plenty of single leg standing work. We’ll definitely be standing up on the chair for our lunges and presses, but we’ll build up to it. We are loading less today and focused on control and precision as much as tone and strength. We’ll hit quads, hamstrings, glutes, calves, ankles, and feet. We’ll get our abs as well and some arms so you leave feeling overall worked well and balanced.

Goals :      Develop a stronger, more balanced lower body: hips, glutes and legs. Build lean muscle tone. The Chair is a powerful apparatus that requires strength and helps us refine our practice.
