*Equipment Needed : Pilates Chair, hand weights, and a Mat.
Focus : Core & hamstrings will be our primary focus in this Pilates chair workout, though we will also move the spine in all planes. By using hand weights we will up the challenge to our deep core muscles and also increase the physical definition of the abdominals.
Class Level : Intermediate on up.
The Course of this Class : Starting with targeted abdominal exercises we will later move into opening the front chain while strengthening the back chain. Side lying lifts and scissors leads to coordinated bridging on the mat. A great quick workout time-wise, while moving in all directions and increasing flexibility as well as strength.
Goals : Develop a stronger core, while increasing definition in the abs by the addition of hand weights. Work the spine in all directions, especially the hamstrings, back chain, and booty. Get a great overall workout in a short amount of time.
