This workshop examines the needs of and exercise considerations for specific sports. Pilates is used today in the basic training of many professional profile athletics, soccer and basketball to name a few. In this workshop we will look at certain Pilates exercise variations on multi-apparatuses and identify how and why these are influential to optimize the athlete’s performance, improve their technique, increase their physical fitness, and even facilitate their recovery time. Teachers will leave with full profiles of each athlete and a manual of exercise variations for these sports. This Pilates for athletes workshop will equip the Instructor to train both the amateur sports enthusiast to the professional athlete. Some of the sport profiles to choose from include : runners, cyclists, tennis players, golf, football (or soccer), swimmers, and surfers.
