Postural Exercises Release & Reset Total Body – Part 3

*Equipment Needed :     Fit ball, your mat, and a wall.

Focus :    Release tensions, open hips, pelvis, and chest, extend the spine, lengthen through the side body, traction out the lumbar spine, massage, and combat both kyphosis and lordosis. Welcome to Day 3 of our Postural Exercises Release & Reset Total Body, 5 part series, all for a healthier spine, stronger back and better posture and alignment.

Class Level :     ALL levels. This series is for absolutely all of us!

The Course of this Class :    The fit ball offers amazing feedback as it is buoyant, soft, giving, and helps us restore that diaphragmatic rhythm while releasing rigidity stored up in the body. We will use this to release tensions stored up in the hips and pelvis causing low back pain or rigidity, while also waking up muscles unused. We’ll equally be opening the hips and chest wall, lengthening through the side body and restoring the natural curves of the spine while simultaneously taming them if they are over emphasized.

Goals :     Release tensions. Restore elasticity, flexibility, movement and life into tight tissues and muscles. Massage and stretch the spine. Mobilize the spine in all directions. Restore proper glute function.

In this series we are seeking to slowly improve your posture, alleviate stress, release tensions, and set you back up into your best alignment! My hope is you will find plenty of individual exercise “take-aways” that you will begin to incorporate into your daily life whatever you may be in the middle of doing.
