The Course of this Class : The Seated Tall & Rounded Forward is a fabulous set of 2 exercises which focus on building strong, healthy posture by reinforcing the musculature around the spine. It can be a little confusing or intimidating to get the hang of in the beginning due to the choreography of arm movement and breath. It can also be one of those killers to have to sit straight up with legs straight out if we have tight hip flexors or tight hamstrings so I’ll be giving you some modifications to the position! But, do NOT avoid this exercise! Seated Tall is one of those highly effective exercises when repeated regularly that will improve both flexibility and strength, as well as excellent posture!
Pilates depends on certain technical foundations, understanding these better will set you up for success in your practice; protect you from injuring yourself; as well as teach you the best alignment your body can achieve! Plus, practicing with the right form, you’ll get A TON more out of the exercise, your level will increase quickly if you stick to it, and so will your results!
