Day 24: Shoulder Stretches at Sunset and more

Focus :   

Shoulder stretches, hamstrings, piriformis and more at sunset. You made it to the end of week 4! Wahoo! You only have 1 week left and today is time to relax, recover and stretch everything out you have been working so hard all week long. We’ll be using the resistance band and really focus on shoulders and hamstrings, calves and the backs of the legs. Enjoy the view while we breath, lengthen and stretch to release tension, relieve sore muscles, and create long lines in the body so the muscles do not stay in a shortened position. You’ll feel opened, released, relaxed and ready to enjoy the rest of your weekend after this sunset stretch session.

Equipment Needed :     

Your mat and resistance band.

The Course of this Class :   

We will start with lots of shoulder mobilization stretches and releases. If you suffer from tight shoulders, upper traps and neck, these shoulder stretches will help. From there we will lie it down and stretch into our hamstrings and calves. Piriformis is next, and then a spinal massage and full body stretch including articulation. Spinal and thoracic rotation. Focus on your breath today and getting that oxygen into the tissues that you are stretching. Enjoy the view and taking time to slow down, breath and lengthen.
