Strong & Stretched, Hips Some More, Mat Version

FOCUS :   

Today we do the mat version of our hips, hips and hips some more on the Reformer. Even if you have tried this class on the Reformer we recommend also trying the mat version. Get ready for lots of stretch in the hip flexors while seriously strengthening and challenging the glute muscles in the hip joint. This strength will allow equally for more openness, more flexibility and less creaky, stiff, sticky hips. Stick with me till the end and you’ll be rewarded with some favorite stretches and releases!

EQUIPMENT NEEDED :     

Mat only.

CLASS LEVEL :     

ALL levels. For everyone!

CLASS FLOW :   

Stretch as you strengthen and move with flow. Short and easy to fit into any day. Use this class for a recovery session, in between tougher workouts, and as a stand alone to target your hip strength and flexibility. Class moves at a mindful and deliberate pace.

GOALS :     

Increase strength and flexibility in the hip joint, alleviate low back pressure, stretch out sore and tight muscles, create longer and more elastic tissues. Encourage a strong range of motion. Move with breath. Rest and recovery. Increase blood flow and circulation to tissues.
