The Course of this Class : The High Frog follows easily on the heels of the Long Spine with the feet in the straps. It’s a fun and very challenging exercise to keep the hips up with the legs levered out and beyond! Today we’ll go over the basics, look at the set up, how to move into the position and through it, and what are the benefits of this exercise. This is a fabulous exercise for greater arm and upper back strength as well as whole body integration and connection in keeping the hips up while mobilizing the legs. I hope that this tutorial helps you better understand this exercise and helps you better your own practice with it. I find this most mimics Magician on the Cadillac, which is fabulous for shaping those legs as well.
Pilates depends on certain technical foundations, understanding these better will set you up for success in your practice; protect you from injuring yourself; as well as teach you the best alignment your body can achieve! Plus, practicing with the right form, you’ll get A TON more out of the exercise, your level will increase quickly if you stick to it, and so will your results!
