Day 21: Total Beachbody workout: Core, Booty, Back & Arms

Focus :   

This total beachbody workout isn’t just great for getting you beach and bathing suit ready this summer but also you can do it at the beach! And that’s just where we are today. So whether you are at home or on the beach with me, enjoy the scenery and the waves for extra motivation. This full body workout targets core, the entire posterior chain: glutes, hamstrings, back, and triceps, while also sculpting arms and abs. As per our usual in this 30 day program our full body days combine our upper and lower body days into compound movements. To increase the challenge today we are incorporating the balance cushion. This prop and tool is an excellent way to tone DEEP into the core all our micro muscles responsible for our posture and our endurance.

Equipment Needed :     

Your mat, 1 lighter set of dumbbells, a resistance band, and a balance cushion (if you don’t have this then grab a folded up towel and you’ll work with that!).

Class Level :     

ALL levels. Remember to adapt and adjust to you as you need. These classes are meant to be customizable to your fitness level, whether you need to tone it down or amp it up.

The Course of this Class :   

Class starts with a classic core mat exercise series, fabulous for deeply toning the core and abs. These exercises are particularly effective for flattening the low abdomen region and cinching everything in. Next, another classic quadruped series to work not only the entire posterior chain but also the core and our balance. We’ll work in all planes, including standing. Today is about full body integration in all we do and staying concentrated to improve our mind body connection. Our movements are slow, controlled and mindful to create those deep connections, transform that tissue into lean muscle mass and create stronger movement patterns from center out. Why is it a total beachbody workout? Because this workout is all about drawing that silhouette in, tighter, more toned, front to back and side to side.
