Total Body Build & Lift Workout + Light Cardio Class Combo

Level: Advanced, Intermediate

FOCUS :   

This class focuses on glutes, legs, arms, shoulders and core using heavier weight lifting combined with lighter weights and the use of the Reformer. You’ll have light cardio woven in and at the end. A great class if you want to build and maintain strong bones, build and maintain lean muscle mass and assist in burning excess fat. This is done in a safe environment respecting ideal alignment. Weights will not make you bulky, rather help you lean and tone. The cardio to help burn excess unwanted stored fat, again striving towards that lean muscle mass.

EQUIPMENT NEEDED : 

Reformer + 1 set heavier dumbbells + 1 set light – medium dumbbells (go with what is appropriate for your level of practice).

CLASS LEVEL :     

Intermediate – advanced levels. Choose your weights appropriately to what your own level and ability.

GOALS :     

Build and maintain strong bones. Build and maintain lean muscle mass while burning unwanted excess fat stores in the body. Shape and tone and then let your workout keep working for you even after you finish! Work lower body, legs, hips, glutes for lean and strong legs. Even in classes like these you will improve your posture! Improve your dynamic balance for functional daily life, increasing your eccentric strength in addition to your concentric strength. Use weights to prevent or stave off osteoporosis and other related syndromes.
