In this trx workout at home you’ll be moving through a classical Barre work class, lots of legs, hips, glutes, booty, lower body; while thanks to the trx your upper body, particularly shoulder stabilizers and obliques will be fully worked out! 👍🏼 Expect plenty of pliés and kicks, single standing leg balancing and glute work. Abs will get some love too towards the end of our barre work, so not to worry, you’ll power up your core too.
TRX (or similar suspension trainer), your Mat and a booty band or resistance band tied. The band is used just at the beginning of class to warm up glutes and hips.
All levels. Modifications given for exercises that may be more difficult than others. For the most part this is a great flow for everyone that can be easily adjusted to your individual practice level.
Barre work starts off with some warm-up exercises for glutes and hips on the mat before getting into those pliés and kicks. Then, off to that ballet barre type work, emphasizing breath, alignment, posture, and energy. Get ready to be challenged in your shoulder stabilizers and obliques especially. Next, challenge balance and weight transfer. A fun and energetic trx workout to do at home, more Pilates method suspension inspired, dancer-esque. (I know it’s not a real word😉).
Build long lean musculature in the lower body. Improve balance and stability. Tone legs and thighs, glutes, booty, arms and upper back. Including that little persistent area right under the arms around the side of the rib cage 😉, firm and tone! Workout from home or anywhere, tie that trx to a tree outdoors!
